Business Development Executive (Muar & Segamat)

Job Summary

Responsible for driving sales growth in the Muar & Segamat areas by identifying new business opportunities, expanding customer base, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role also involves market research, merchandising execution, and regular reporting to support business strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new customers within Muar & Segamat territories.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Execute merchandising activities to ensure proper product display, visibility, and stock availability at outlets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, pricing, and trends.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, customer updates, and market analysis on a timely basis.
  • 6Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs set by management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Recommend promotional activities and strategies to grow market share in the assigned areas.
  • Ensure proper collection of payments in accordance with company credit policies.
  • Attend weekly meetings/reporting sessions at Johor Bahru office.

Job Requirements

  • Able to attend product knowledge training for the 1st working month every working day at Johor Bahru office.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG industry.
  • Multilingual in English, Mandarin and Malay (Mandarin is the common language used between internal and external parties).
  • Must possess valid driving license & has own transport and willing to travel extensively within Muar & Segamat.
  • Understanding of export procedures, shipping documentation, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
